Spite is a top-down adventure game. You play as a battle hardened shield maiden who has to battle her way out of Hel.
For Spite we had recieved a theme we had to follow stylistically. We recieved the theme “Vikings”
During this project my task was to animate the player character and a few animations on the enemies.
This is our main character, Blank Name. Showcasing her strength and ability to slay ghouls and other abominations

We had a few abnormal choices for the enemies in spite, they are Draugr being controlled by the norns. A reocurring theme in the game are threads.
The enemies had to move as if they were hanging, like a marionette. There were a lot of moving parts and it was difficult to put the pieces together.

Bloater enemy
The bloater is still being controlled by the lines, but it is the most awake. It crawls its way forward almost like it is faster than what is controlling it.

This was by a long shot the most fun I've had in a project thus far and I was fortunate to get to work on it.
